AN ACT to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §18A-4-21, relating
to school personnel; and providing that a board of education
must wait ten days before posting a new job opening following
the death of an employee.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §18A-4-21,
to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 4. SALARIES, WAGES AND OTHER BENEFITS.
§18A-4-21. Posting of position opening following death of
incumbent.
A county board may not declare a position vacant and post a
job opening sooner than ten days following the death of an
individual employed in that position.
